This logo was inspired by the phrase "starving artist." A saying that conjures images of a broke talented soul in the slumps. I wanted to reclaim that title and use different mediums and inspirations that all allude to the idea of a "starving artist." 

The logo features original typography based on a circular and curvy shape language. The words are overlayed with a crumpled paper texture with a spray paint outline. 

The background is a brick wall texture that I painted over using various artistic brushes including acrylic and oil paint, marker, and watercolour. The brick wall has a canvas texture overlay as well as a halftone newspaper print effect. 

This logo encompasses the traditional art styles and the more modern art styles as an overall testament to the "Starving Artist."
